3.5 stars. This book felt like a fever-dream throughout—so full to the brim with textures, idiosyncratic characters, and imagined histories that it stands out in my memory in technicolor. I enjoyed the many perspectives style of narration, though I will say that it made the book feel almost more like a collection of vignettes than a cohesive narrative.
